CAREER WOMAN + PART TIME POSTGRADUATE STUDENT + MOTHER + WIFE

Melihat pada tajuk tu...nampak macam...wah..such a super woman. Boleh ke jadi semua tu. Boleh mungkin boleh tapi persoalan yang lebih besar adalah;

Memastikan semua tanggunggjawab yang dipikul dilaksanakan sepenuhnya tanpa neglect the others. TANGGUNGJAWAB SEBAGAI:

EMPLOYEE

STUDENT

WIFEY

MUMMY

Mungkin ade yang cakap, kemampuan orang lain-lain. Indeed. Tapi bila sudah pun commit dengan segala tanggungjawab itu...we have to find a way to solve for the betterment of our life.

Memetik satu article yang pernah saya jumpa:

"As a wife, mother, employee, and student at The Art Institute Online, life can be very difficult. I have found many ways in the past year, to make my life a little simpler. I am a mother of three beautiful little girls. My oldest is seven (she’s my cuddlebug), my middle girl is four (she’s my desibug), and my youngest is one (my monkey). My husband is a wonderful man who contributes by doing laundry, dishes, and staying home so I can work late. I couldn’t ask for anything better.
I work full time at a local newspaper. There, I am the composition manager and carry many responsibilities. It calls for long hours and some working at home. I am also a part time student at The Art Institute Online. I carry a 4.0 and work very hard to keep it that way. I also do some freelance on the side.
Many times in person and in class, I have been asked how I do it all. My girls are happy and healthy; I have a job I am great at, and a wonderful marriage. The answer is simple; buy a date book. I schedule everything and write everything down. I have to or I will loose track of everything. I have four simple rules that maintain balance in my life and my family’s:
No work until the kids go to bed at 8PM.
No school until the kids go to bed at 8PM.
Spend one full day with your spouse every week. (Date Night)
No missing school events or sport events with the kids.
Those are my very simple guidelines. Without them my life would be a mess and everyone in it would be miserable. It is all based on my priorities. My family always comes first. My education comes second. My work comes last.
I am going constantly and I have times when I just can’t go anymore. Then I put myself first. I take a day off and go for a drive, sleep in, or go out with friends. Even if it is just for an hour, we all need time for ourselves. It just isn’t healthy not to. I focus on my family and work during the week and work on schoolwork and work all weekend. I have become the time management queen! Life sounds hectic but I am still one of the calmest and laid back people you may ever meet. I have yet to find much that will upset me or stress me out because I know things always find a way to work out. I have always felt there is a solution to everything and won’t quit until I find one.
Another important key is to stay healthy. I work out and eat right. I admit, I am a smoker but for some reason my body balances itself out (for now anyway). Staying healthy helps maintain a healthy mental state. I also try to think positive at all times. I like to keep everyone around me enthusiastic and happy. I love people and am very happy surrounded by my family, friends, and co-workers. All of these simple things get me through each and every day. Sometimes it is hard but I just stay strong and keep my priorities straight."

So, if you one of the chosen SUPERMOMMY...Fear not, mama!! You can conquer those study sessions and still have enough hours left in the day to be Supermom by maximizing your study time.
You're a busy lady. As a mom and a student, it seems like you always have something to do and somewhere to be. Most days, you probably only have a tiny amount of time to dedicate to studying. Make sure you get the most out of those precious minutes with these tips to help you maximize your study time.

Don't multitask - Focus
Seriously. We know you can do it all. That doesn't mean you have to do it all at the same time! Stop trying to study while you make dinner, check your email, talk to your mom and help your kids with their homework. If your brain is busy doing other things, you'll miss half of what you should be taking in.

Make some 'Mummy's Time'
We know, the thought of "alone time" is almost laughable to most moms, but it's what you need. You're not going to be productive if you have to break away from the books every five minutes to make a snack, settle a disagreement, kiss a boo-boo or change a diaper. If you don't get alone time during the day, create it. Wake up an hour before the kiddos and study while you enjoy your morning coffee, or crack open the books after the kids go to bed. If that won't work, get someone to babysit for an hour while you study in a local cafe or library. (This tip works well for me. Bukan bermakna kita mengabaikan anak-anak tapi anak-anak akan lebih marah kalau kita di depan mereka tetapi sibuk dengan buku dan tak menghiraukan mereka)

Shut out social networks -PENTING!
Nothing bad will happen if you abandon Facebook for an hour, I promise. Close those Facebook, Twitter and even your smartphone, and don't open them again until you've finished your study session. Compulsively reading through news feeds may keep you in the loop, but it does nothing for your GPA. It's best to stay offline completely while you study, but if your studying requires the internet, stick to only the sites you need. You'll get done in half the time, saving plenty of time for trolling social networks later.

Set a schedule
The hardest part of studying is always getting started (soooooo true!). It's one thing to sit down with your books, and another battle entirely to turn your brain on and focus. Create a schedule for studying. If you sit down to study at the same time every day, it'll be easier to get into study mode.

For 1st Semester....I consider myself as a probationary period.  I forgive myself BUT for 2nd Semester...PLEASE STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE....!!
